Grand Tall Cedar Message
Greeting to All Cedars and Ladies,
I am sending this letter to you in lieu of the quarterly Cedar Knot. I hope and pray this finds all of you well and safe amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. This has been a most unusual year for all of us. Many of you have shared your concerns with me regarding future activities this year in light of Governor Wolf’s stay at home order. Our RWGM and STC are following these guidelines. As of the writing of this letter, Lancaster County is still in “Red Phase” and all Masonic events/meetings remain in suspension.
Lancaster will move into the “Yellow Phase” on June 5th. Limited activity is permitted two weeks after the county officially enters that phase. Unfortunately for us, this will impact the summer events for our Forest. I am cancelling all summer activities and scheduled meetings until further notice. The health and safety of our brother Cedars and families is most important. We will resume activities when it is safe and prudent to do so.
While this is a tremendous challenge for us, it is also an opportunity for us to reach out to brother Cedars and their families. Keep in mind many people are lonely and would enjoy hearing from you. It can be a phone call, text or social media.
I am hopeful that Masonic/Cedar activity may resume in September here in Lancaster County. If we can resume activities, we will update you in the next Cedar Knot or by a special mailing.
It is my most sincere wish that all of you stay safe and care for your family and friends. We are in this together!
Sincerely,
Ed
